Inclusion

—Disabilty refers to when :

(a) A person has a physical or mental impairment.

(b) The impairment has a real and long-term adverse effect on the person’s ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.

We aim:

  • To bridge the gap between the mainstream and the special schools by providing a citadel for individualistic learning.
  • EHC Plan reviews will also be part of our rules as we intend to focus on the young person’s progress towards achieving the outcomes specified.
  • To work together and interact effectively with Parents.
  • We offer a healthy inclusive  environment for our learners in our schools.

SHC does have proper  measures which are in place to offer a safe environment for all our learners and staff. All sessions are multi-sensory, there is much over-teaching and each child’s learning style is considered. Working alongside the teachers and their assistants are speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and a physiotherapist.
